Lake Superior Expeditions, 48"(L) x 62"(W), 2002

Heat transfers of maps, and photos and journal writing from kayak, backpack and cross country ski trips to Lake Superior.  Also the Raspberry Island Lighthouse keeper's journals from the late 1880's, of Francis Jacker, my great great grand uncle.   The piece is made of velvet, brocade, silk, satin and cotton fabrics and is hand and machine stitched and quilted.
